Crash Damage Liability Reduction Offering

Garage 56 Engineering provides you with the opportunity to experience the true potential of some very capable and expensive cars. The financial risk of a crash is enormous – it can be the entire value of one or more cars. This risk discourages many owners from ever taking their own car onto a race track. We solve the problem by providing you with our cars to drive, and providing reasonable limitations on your maximum possible damage liability.

Even though crash damage is relatively rare, you need to understand your crash damage liability. In order for you to utilize a car provided by Garage 56 Engineering, you hereby agree, that you will pay to Garage 56 Engineering, in accordance with this Agreement, all the parts, labor, and other expenses required to repair or replace any car or other Garage 56 Engineering equipment, or any guardrail or other racetrack property which is damaged or disarranged (collectively termed “Damage”) as a result of your operation of a Garage 56 Engineering car.

Your liability for damage is unlimited; however, your damage can be limited to a maximum of $8,000 per incident by paying $500 per rental prior to the commencement of the event. You will be responsible, but only up to your maximum liability limit, for any Damage which may occur during or as a result of your operation of a Garage 56 Engineering car, regardless of cause or fault.

Lime Rock Park: The Legendary Road Racing Circuit

History

Lime Rock Park, located in Lakeville, Connecticut, is one of the most iconic road racing circuits in North America. Opened in 1957, it was designed by racing legend John Fitch and engineered by Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory. The 1.5-mile circuit quickly became a favorite among drivers and fans due to its fast, flowing corners and natural elevation changes.

Throughout its history, Lime Rock has hosted some of the most legendary racing events and has been a training ground for some of the greatest drivers in motorsports. The track was also the first road racing venue in the U.S. to feature a chicane, added in 1971 to slow down the entry into the "Big Bend" turn.

Notable Events

Lime Rock Park has been home to a variety of prestigious races, including:

  • IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship – One of the premier endurance racing series in North America.
  • Trans-Am Series – A staple of American road racing since the 1960s.
  • SCCA National and Regional Races – A proving ground for amateur and professional racers alike.
